Anja Edges Blue Gatefold Card

This is another card I'm not really happy with. I got the bright idea of adding ribbon to the sides. Then I decided to put the ribbon over blue paper, and have the paper border the ribbon. It looked okay, so I mounted it onto the card. Then I stenciled the embossing with VersaMagic Aegean Blue. Then there was too much white between the design and the ribbon, so I decided to color it with the blue ink, but I was out of Fantastix for shading, and used blending stumps instead. They didn't blend very well. I also was beginning to wish I had mounted the ribbon onto white CS before mounting it onto blue so it would be brighter.

Next, I put blue paper inside so the lattice would show up better. That looked okay.

Next I was trying to figure out what to add for decoration, so I added a bow. It was still missing something, so I added blue half pearls.

Anyway, this is what I ended up with. I should have stuck with white on white, or white with pale pink or something.

Doily Santa Card

I used two different Marianne Creatables for this card. First, I cut out the doily using green and metallic gold card stock. Then I cut out the corners six times using the same metallic gold. After that, I just embossed the same corners two times with green card stock, and cut around them with scissors to frame two of the corners. I kept cutting and fitting everything together for the front of the card so it would look like two of the corners were part of the doily, and the other four would look like a large square doily in the background.

After that, I cut another large doily and mounted it on the bottom part of the easel. I stamped the sentiment from ODBD's Blessed Christmas Set onto the center of the doily with VersaMark, and embossed it with SuperFine Detail Gold.

All gold outlining was done with Pentouch Gold. The pearls were some small white ones which I colored with a Copic to match the green in the card. The Santa is one of those embossed German die cut ones from a sheet I've had for years.

Easel Card with Marianne Creatables and Cheery Lynn

This card was made using a 5" square of Core'dinations light gold pearl CS and applying Marianne Creatables Anja Style Corners around a tag by K & Co.

Surrounding the light gold pearl CS is gold mirror card, pink linen textured pearl CS by Core'dinations and white CS. The flowers are Prima, and the butterfly is cut from a Cheery Lynn die. The sparkly accents are stickles.

Napkin Fold Card with Spellbinders and Marianne Creatables

I made this card from this Stampartic tutorial. I decided to put the napkin fold inside a card rather than using it alone. I made the napkin fold the same size as the tutorial, then cut the card out of a 6 1/2" square, and a 6 1/2" x 7" square. I scored the larger square at 6 1/2" and 6 3/4", and glued the larger piece to the smaller one, since I didn't have any paper large enough to make a 6 1/2" square card.

The white paper is a linen textured CS from my stash, the flowered paper is from Walmart, and the yellow paper is moire textured paper I bought at an art supply shop. So far, I have never seen an MS punch around the page in a local store, so I used one of her border punches to make the paper look like lace. The die cuts are Spellbinders and Marianne Creatables Anja Corners. The Butterfly and the diecut inside are K & Co.

Gatefold Card using Marianne Creatables

I feel really lucky to have been able to upload three photos today. The free download files were larger, and wouldn't upload.

This card uses a pearlescent blue CS from the linen closet stack and white pearl Core'dinations CS. All dies were Marianne Creatables except the leaves which were Spellbinders. I used stickles to outline the little roses I made from Creatables and attached the ones in the center with blue brads. The corner ones were attached with silicone glue. After I photographed this, I realized that I didn't add centers for the corner flowers, so I will add them now, either by placing a small pearl, or no holes beads, whichever I like better. The hydrangea inside is from K&Co.

This card uses the Creatables Reindeer, and one of the Anja Style corners by Marianne Designs. They are mounted on green Bazill linen textured paper and gold mirror card, which is mounted on a white 5x7 card. The pearls are Queen & Co.

Card using Anja Style Stencils and Spellbinders

This one didn't come out very well. My xacto blade was dull, and living on an island,  we have to drive 40 miles to get a new one. It doesn't look as ragged in real life as it does in this photo.

The moire paper is mounted onto a white card using my Xyron Creative Station. The Anja Style Stencil by Marianne Designs was flopped when I embossed and cut it to make the top and bottom match, and I put green ribbon behind the center slots.

The design in the center was cut from spellbinders dies, and I added the cutouts from the green part to the four corners, putting Queen & Co. pearls on top. Then I added a narrow bow made with Offray ribbon.
