More flowers I made

These are some more flowers I made. Most of them are from McGill punches, but the three little roses are from Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms.

The yellow on the roses is much paler than it looks in the photo, and the greens in the leaves aren't as bright either, but I took this photo at night.

I was pretty happy with the McGill flowers, especially since it was my first try, but I think I need more practice with the Bitty Blossoms. I'm not at all happy with them. I have wanted those dies for a long time because of the beautiful flowers Marisa Job has made with them, but mine don't look at all like hers. I will practice some more though, and I'm sure they will get better! I also wish I had shaded the outside of the yellow petals on the pansy with purple. I think it would have looked more real that way. The center of the pansy and the stamen on the Calla Lilly are the ultrafine orange crush Flower Soft.

I also played around with some premade roses I got on clearance at Michaels last year. All of these were white, but I used some Brilliance stamp pads, and different brands of glitter sprays to color them. Some of the flowers were colored with more than one shade of spray. The ones which still look white have pearl shades on them so they shimmer in real life. I've found that I like buying white flowers best, because then I can color them to match my projects.

More flowers I made from Prima flower parts

A few months ago, I showed some flowers I made from those containers of inexpensive flower parts from Prima. You can see that post here.

I mentioned then, that sometimes I like to take the time to make a bunch of flowers, so they will be ready for cards. I also mentioned that some of the flower parts weren't exactly beautiful, but when added to other parts, or having a stamp pad rubbed over them, I could make some really interesting flowers.

If you have some of these parts that you don't know what to do with, try playing with them. It's really fun!

Some flowers I made from Prima flower parts

I had a bunch of Prima flowers in those inexpensive cans. The ones where the flowers really aren't finished, with no layers, leaves or centers. I was playing around with stamps and running the stamps over them and layering them and adding centers, and this is what I came up with. None of them are masterpieces, but they were fun to do, and a way to make those flowers which were pretty much unfinished into something that might look pretty on a card.

I didn't add my own color to the yellow and pink one, that was already colored that way, all I did was add a pink and yellow rose I made from those little single Recollections flowers in little bottles.

For the yellow ones, I added just a touch of green to the bottom yellow flower and layered two together and put yellow roses I made in the centers.

For a couple of the flowers I put yellow Liquid Pearls into the center before I added stamens.

The center of the light blue one is made from three tiny flowers I separated from a little Darice bouquet.

All of the stamens are from Darice, and all flowers and centers were glued with silicone glue I got at the hardware store.

Like I said, none of them are masterpieces, but I thought I'd put them on here as inspiration for anyone who can't think of a way to use less than beautiful ready made flowers. These and a ton of simpler ones, such as daisies I added stamens to or added Flower Soft or pearls to the centers, were made in about 3 hours time.
