Today I finished my cigar box. I decided to add some Spellbinders tags cut with gold mirror card, and a Core'dinations pale gold pearl CS oval from the Twisted Metal Tags and Accents dies layered on top of the tag. The center was stenciled with Delicata Golden Glitz ink to match the top medallion. I added one of those to each of the sides.
It was still light when I took the photographs, so I added a better one of the top. The box is now completely finished except for putting something on it for protection. We can only get one kind of Krylon on the island, and it contains acetone. I tried it on a scrap piece of the Dresden trim, and it did what I expected, turned the gold silver, so I will have to wait until I get off the island again so I can try to get some of the Krylon acrylic spray. I don't really want to leave it unprotected because I'll never be able to clean it this way. Once I spray it with the Krylon, it will not only make it so I can wipe the paper down with a damp cloth, but it will also protect all those delicate little pieces.
More photos are on yesterday's post.

Kathi, perfection.
The perfect finishing touches to a fabulous project.
Such a fabulous job you have made of this box. Really beautiful.
Just like Alison said in a post above mine...Perfect finishing touches...I can't image all the work you put into this...what a treasure...
I also want to thank you for the email you sent to me...I just opened it this evening...I could not get it to open for me...but my husband (who is so much better at computers than I am)...managed to download it for me...Thank you so much for thinking of me.
Wow--what a treasure you have created! Wish I could see this in person!
My oh my, that is one rocking cigar box. First, you don't find sturdy boxes like that often - then you recreated it into a piece of art. Love all that gold paper, so elegant looking. What a lot of work you put into this, turned out beautifully.
Awesome blog you have herre
