Elegant Santa Card
I made this card a while back. This Santa die cut fit perfectly in the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles die. I cut and embossed the dies on Core'dinations Pearl, and tried them on various background papers. I liked this sparkly light blue, so I matted it with metallic gold and mounted it on a card made with more of the pearl paper. Then I used two shades of blue, I can't remember which ones they were, to shade them while they were still in the die. I shaded them unevenly because I thought it would add more interest than if they were evenly shaded. I wanted it to look like Santa was in a cold snowy atmosphere. Then I ran a gold pen inside the dies and added gold pearls.
I was trying to find something small to decorate the corners of the background paper with, and decided to cut these tiny flowers from Dresden paper.
