Dimensional Wallpaper Card

I decided to try making a card with the dimensional wallpaper I used on one of my cigar boxes.

For this one, I colored the wallpaper square with a Tibetan Poppy Teal dauber from Lindy's Stamp Gang. The raised areas were colored with Brilliance Galaxy Gold. They were brighter and more metallic when I first did them, but the ink didn't dry on the paper. I tried heat setting it, and it was still tacky, so I put clear embossing powder over it. It looks okay, but I liked it better before.

It was matted with some gold glitter cs, some Core'dinations Pearl cs that I colored using the Poppy Teal, and then mounted onto a Core'dinations Pearl card.

I colored some more of the pearl CS with the poppy teal, then cut that, and more glitter CS with some Spellbinders Circles. Then I stamped a JustRite Hydrangea onto the blue circle with VersaMark and embossed it with gold EP.

It was shaded with more Galaxy Gold and a Ranger Nib, and the circles were mounted dimensionally onto the card.

Last I added Glossy Accents to parts of the card, sprinkled holographic gold glitter into them, let them dry, and added more Glossy Accents on top of that. It's okay, but it's not my favorite card.

  2. I think it turned out quite pretty, lots of dimension and the flowers in the center really pop! Nicely done.

  4. Lol, so that is what happens when you leave comments late at night. I wanted to say is it EVER pretty and not every pretty. I wanted to be sure to leave a comment in case I didn't get back to it today.
I think you are very adventuresome to do some of the things you do with your cards. I like the idea of puffy wallpaper. I might just have to go to the hardware store one of these days and see if I can find some pretty stuff.
    See what you started? lol
