Spellbinders and ribbon gold Christmas

Wow, I didn't realize the flash made the card look like this until I got home and got ready to upload my card!

Anyway, I got this Christmas ribbon on sale last weekend, and decided to use it on a card. I wanted the card to be cream and gold, so I made a 5x7 card out of ivory pearl Core'dinations CS. Then, I made a mat with gold mirror card, and cut another piece of the Core'dinations CS to fit inside that. I added the ribbon to the cream CS, then mounted the layers onto the card.

Next, I used a Spellbinders Shapability, and cut all the pieces out of both the ivory and the mirror card and began layering to see what order I wanted to mount the colors in. I decided to use the largest ivory piece on the bottom, and outlined that with a gold Pentouch to separate it from the background. I alternated the gold piece on top of that, then added the rest of the pieces, alternating the colors.

The large gold piece needed some contrast, so I cut up some of the ivory pieces and mounted them onto the gold to break it up a bit. It still needed something, so I added some Liquid Pearls. Then, I added some outline stickers from my stash to the outside borders, and it was done. As you can see, it is very shiny!
